SPIRIT LIKE WATER. Amongst the cacophony of twenty-first century living, we seek mental and physical space - the opportunity to escape the clutter of modern life and find tranquility and silence through meaningful emptiness. In Zen Buddhism, this state of being is known as mizu no kokoro - 'a spirit like water' - as it is only when our mind and spirit is perfectly still that we can see the world clearly and without prejudice and distortion, like a lake reflecting its surroundings.
