BOUNTY - Lisa Katsiaris
BOUNTY. Mankind's relationship with the sea is complex; benign and destructive, nurturing and abusive. From the time that man first threaded a hook onto a length of twine and dangled it into a river, cast a net across the surface of the sea, or took to the ocean in a dugout canoe, the world's waterways have been a source of sustenance and livelihood. But with our seas and oceans under attack from climate change and man-made polution, traditional fishing communities are threatened and fish stocks, and the birds and animals that feed on them, are in decline.
